How Much Does An Online Class Cost?

The cost to enroll your child in one of our online Chinese language classes is $90.00 per month. For this fee, each student will: 1) receive the Language Box (interactive games, arts & crafts and other items), delivered monthly to your home; and 2) students may attend one live online class per week. In addition, because all classes are recorded, enrolled students may view the current week's class or any past class an unlimited number of times. Student Age Range

Little Linguists Academy's curriculum is designed primarily for children between the ages of 6 and 12. However, younger children may participate with adult assistance.

Class Schedule

Little Linguists Academy's classes occur one time per week for approximately 30 minutes per class. Classes will take place every week except for pre-scheduled holidays or unless parents are notified in advance that a class will not take place.

Enrollment

Enrollment is open throughout the year. New students may join an existing class at any time. In fact, the combination of existing students with new students adds to the learning environment as the more experienced students can actually assist in the teaching process. After completion of each 52-week curriculum, students graduate to more advanced Little Linguists courses.

Class Structure

Little Linguists Academy initial focus is to provide children with an introduction to the Chinese language. During the first year, our goal is to train a child's ear in a manner that allows them to recognize and become comfortable with the unique sounds of the Chinese language.

In addition, basic Chinese characters are introduced to begin the process of teaching children how to read and write. Classes are structured around specific themes that change every two weeks.

The Language Box

Each month, Little Linguists Academy will send your child a package of interactive materials to utilize during each class. It is essential for students to have these materials available at the beginning of each class. Materials may include toys, art projects, flash cards and other items.

What If We Miss a Class?

All of our classes are recorded. Therefore, if your child misses a class or becomes distracted in the middle of a class, he or she can view the remainder of the class at any time. Click here for more information about Recorded Classes.
